Sweet 16 Fairytale Princess Photoshoot
Wow, what a FUN session this was. I was messaged by a mom looking to hire a photographer for her daughter’s birthday. We will call her daughter Rapunzel.
Rapunzel had just turned 16 & decided to celebrate by staying at a hotel that has themed rooms & cottages which she had seen on tik tok. The theme they’d chosen was Cinderella’s Cottage. She also wanted to dress as a princess with her best friend/cousin Aurora (fake name, duh). But Rapunzel’s mom didn’t think that her iPhone was going to cut it. So her search for the best photographer in the Hudson Valley began & well, she found ME!
This hotel was soooo unique. Such a hidden gem RIGHT HERE in the Hudson Valley! The grounds, the trail & the waterfall were so beautiful,
The girls took me along this beautiful wooden trail that led to the waterfall & the wooden castle.
Anyone that knows me knows I love everything Disney, ESPECIALLY Disney princesses. I directed Rapunzel & Aurora on how to move ever so dainty & delicately so as to act like a true Disney princess.
The wooden castle was so beautiful & the view was breathtaking. I was truly grateful to have been picked to bring this vision to life. Here are some of my favorite photos at the castle.
Rapunzel & Aurora were so fun to photograph. They had so many ideas, inside jokes & memories that they loved to share of their childhood.
Here is Aurora dancing with her invisible prince re-enacting the scene from Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.
Back at the cottage, you can see the glass slipper as an accent on the porch lantern outside of Cinderella’s Cottage. All inside of the cottage were hidden gems related to the princess Cinderella.
In the bathroom was Cinderella’s glass slipper.
Above the bed was Cinderella’s gown that the mice & birds had made her for the ball.

This lodging experience has a hotel with themed rooms, a mansion with themed rooms & themed tower cottages. They have the Cinderella cottage, a fairy cottage, a superhero cottage, a Greek mythology cottage & many more cottages & rooms available for you to stay in. They are located in Roxbury NY.
